Questions
FAQ
Is there a free demo?
Yes. One download is both the demo and the full program. The demo never expires and plays fully for 20 minutes per session; restart it for another 20. In the demo you can save presets but not finished work: no audio renders or recordings in PianoFlex, no saved songs or MIDI archive in ComposerFlex.
Who owns the music I make?
You do. The songs, MIDI files and audio you create with ComposerFlex and PianoFlex are yours to use any way you want: release them, sell them, use them in films, games or commercial work. You owe us nothing: no royalties, no fees, no credit. The one exception: you can't sample or record PianoFlex's sounds, or copy ComposerFlex's patterns, to make a competing product such as a sample library. Your songs and recordings, including solo piano pieces, aren't affected.
Is the music or the piano AI-generated?
No. The music and the piano sound come from the programs' own algorithms, running on your computer. No AI model is involved.
Does PianoFlex use samples?
No. Every note is computed as you play it, so there are no velocity layers to jump between and no loops to hear. PianoFlex was voiced by measuring freely licensed recordings of real pianos, key by key, but not one note of them is in PianoFlex. See our credits page.
Do I need an account or an internet connection?
No. Neither program ever connects to the internet: no activation, update checks, crash reports or tracking. You enter your license key and email once.
How many computers can I use it on?
All of your own. There's no machine limit.
Does one key cover both programs?
A key for the pair unlocks both. A key for one program unlocks that program. The PianoFlex standalone and its VST3 plugin share one license.
Does it run on Mac or Linux?
No. Both programs are for Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit.
Which plugin formats are there?
PianoFlex comes as a standalone program and a VST3 plugin. ComposerFlex is a standalone program.
Does ComposerFlex make sound by itself?
No. ComposerFlex writes the music and sends the notes to an instrument. To hear it you need PianoFlex or another MIDI instrument, ideally a piano sound. It plays straight into PianoFlex on the same PC, with no driver.
Can I use ComposerFlex with my own piano or synth?
It saves standard MIDI files, which any DAW or instrument can play.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Within 14 days, no questions asked. See the refund policy for details.
